Shameema Parveen

Shameema is a strong proponent of lifelong learning and routinely offers her expertise by giving presentations at prestigious national and international conferences. Shameema is a startup mentor, a co-chair of TiE Women Global, and a supporter of women’s entrepreneurship. She is also a member of the team that plans and organises the TiE Women Global Pitch Competition, which awards cash prizes and investments in start-ups.

co-founded Edutech in 1991 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, at a time when technology in education was just getting started. Since then, the company has led the way in encouraging educational institutions to utilise technology for a variety of uses in the teaching and learning process.

The expansion of Edutech’s clientele in the Middle East and India throughout K–12 Schools, Vocational Education, Higher Education, and Corporate Learning settings was made possible by the company’s leadership in the concept of technology as a transformational instrument for education impact.
